Happy Pionner Day!

We had a great Pionner day! We kicked our day off at the days of 47 parade with my oldest bro Brett, Kristi and the kids. It was so hot and I really didn't care for the parade. Probably because we got there when it was half over. It was fun to be with the fam.

Our next adventure was lunch, then a mean game of wiffle ball. I didn't realize how competitive I really am. I was getting pretty mad when it wasn't turning out how I wanted. Its a good thing that my team won!. We all scored some mean sunburns. It was a blast.

We then headed to my other brother Bart's house for a BBQ! We had to stop by the house to get somethings and Joe realized that he didn't have our house key. Lovely! so Joe had to climb through our second story bedroom window through our neighbors balcony to get in. Luckily I didn't lock it. I'm pretty sure that isn't a good thing, but thankfully we got in.
We enjoyed the bbq and enjoyed relaxing with the fam. We watched the neighbors light fireworks and headed home. It was such a fun day! we were exhuasted by the end.

FHE Dinner Up Millcreek Canyon!

We went with our good friends Paige, Landon, Quinn, Ashlee and Smitty for FHE up Millcreek Canyon! Smitty and Ashlee's family have a cabin up Millcreek Canyon. We cooked tinfoil dinners and had corn and s'mores. I am telling you this was one the best meals that I have had in a long long time. We had such a blast and are so grateful for our good friends. It so sad to think that in one year we will all be a different schools out of state. We will miss you guys so much. Thank for the great time.

Poor Joey!

Poor Joey

I want to go play!

Joe was playing softball the other night and he dove to get the ball and landed on his arm and partially seperated his shoulder. As Joe got back up he felt it slide back into place. He layed on the ground for a moment because he could not move his shoulder. After several minutes he was able to move it a little and of course he played the rest of the game. I missed Joe's sweet play. I was coaching and arrived late. I was sitting with my friend Ashlee and she told me what had happened. I was really worried, but I knew Joe wouldn't be playing if it was to serious. Joe told me the details later that night and it was really bothering him. We thought we should give it a day or two to see what happens with Joe's shoulder. I thought for sure that he had torn his rotator cuff. I work at an Orthopedic Hospital and the Doc's that I work for just so happens to be a shoulder surgeon. I was asking him some questions about Joe's shoulder, He proceded to tell me that it could possibly be a torn rotator cuff, or possibly and AC seperation. He said also to give it a few days and see. I was sick to think that it possibly could be a rotator cuff, or an AC separtion. Of course we could do surgery. But with a AC separtion there is nothing you can do for it. I bought this sling from work so Joe could take it easy. Its been a few days and I am so happy to say that Joe can move his arm a lot more than before. Its a little sore but Joe thinks its getting better. We are still waiting to see. We will keep you posted.

Happy 4th of July!

Joe was asked to do a flag ceremony at our ward breakfast. They also asked Alex Boye to sing the national anthem he did an amazing job. Also Alex is in our ward.

Joe and I went with my oldest brother Brett and his fam to the Kaysville city parade.

Just getting some shots of everyone before we went swimming. I love my fam.

We decided to head over to Cherry Hill in the hot hot sun. We had a blast. (notice my sexy husband shaves his chest!)

Playing around in the lazy river, nice and relaxing.

The boys and Bridget and Tia went down this about a million times. I was watching Brigham and he was so bummed that he wasn't big enough to go. We stood and took some pictures of them. He tried to say all their names, all he got was Joe and Taylor, everyone is Taylor, or Joe.

The End of our fun fun day.

We had a great 4th. We had a ward breakfast to kick off the day! Joe was asked to do the flag ceremony. Alex Boye sang the National Anthem! He did a great job. He is in our ward and sings for us every now and then, He sure rocked it.

We went up to Farmington where Joey is from and my Bro and his family live up there as well. Kaysville city does an annual parade/water fight. Joe and I have made it a tradition every year. We had a blast at the parade. We then went to Cherry Hill to cool off, We had a blast playing all day. We had a wonderful BBQ! and then went to see the fire works which Joe and I slept through. I was wiped out from being in the sun all day. Thanks family for a great time. We sure had a blast.

We had a super busy week. I still feel like we are running running running. Our ward needed an elder to go up to girls camp for the first night, because our bishop was unable to attend. Joe volunteered us to go. We had a blast and wished that we could have stayed longer. There was only ONE young woman that went to camp this year.

The next day we headed down to hike Mt. Timpanogos with some of Joe's fam. We were exstatic to see Ben; Joe's older bro. Ben is on leave right now from Afganistan and we were so excited to see him. This is my third time meeting Ben since Joe and I have been married. He is one of the nicest guys I have ever met. His Fiance Cassie, and her sweet little boy Koen, came with him. We sure love them and are so excited to have them in the fam. Koen adored Joe, big suprise as all little kids do. They had a blast hanging out together. We had a great time hiking to Mt. Timpanogos Cave.

The next night Cassie put together a suprise dinner for Ben. Ben has been in the military for 10 years now and she wanted to celebrate. Ben would have been honored in Afganistan if he was not on leave. Cassie put the shin dig together with some of Ben's friends. It was hard keeping it from him. We enjoyed our few days with them; we are so sad they had to go back. It will probably be another year or so before we get to see them again. Another exciting thing that we just found out is.... When Ben gets back into Afgansitan he will be stationed with Jared, Joe's other brother who is over there right now. How neat is that? I know they both are pretty excited. All in all our crazy week was sure fun. We made a lot of memories and we were so glad to finally meat Koen.
