My 31st Birthday!

Seeing 31 makes me feel so old! I don't feel old. My birthday was yesterday. We had our usually day. Joe has been in Denver all week and flew home last night. I was so happy to see him. It was the perfect ending to my day! 

Joe is taking me out tonight! I am so excited to have a date with just him! We need to do that more often! 

I was reflecting back on my life and thinking about it! I have a such a good life! I feel so blessed to be where I am at in my life. Having two wonderful little boys (though at times I want to pull my hair out)! How lucky that they are healthy thriving busy kids. Joe is the worlds best dad ever. How did I get so lucky? Joe works his butt off for our family. I always tend to look at the negative side of it that he is gone a lot. He is and I don't love it! He is very dedicated and driven! I love that about him. I love him more all the time. I am so happy that we live in Utah! I never ever want to leave it again! I love that my parents are close, Joe's parents are so close. Two out of four of my brothers are close. I absolutely love where we live. We have the best ward! And neighborhood! I have made some of my best friends here that have made me a better person! 

This year I told myself I am going to focus on being more positive and more aware of the rich blessing I receive from my Heavenly Father! There are so many around me that I feel I take a lot of them for granted! Exciting for another great year!

When Daddy's away!

When dad is away life is rough for us. It seems as though everything goes wrong. For me anyways that's how it's been sense we were first married. 

Joe had to go to Colorado for work. He left Sunday night. It's been a week. Jax cried for over an hour when we got home from dropping joe off at the airport. 

Monday he woke up with a hideous barkey cough. Cried more for dad which made it worse. We had a crazy wind storm and our pilot light blew out! ( did not even know that could happen) got to get that fixed! My dad helped me re light that! Thank goodness! 

Jax has progressively gotten worse. I called his doc and they don't seem too worried about it. 

Jax bit Madden behind he leg and made a huge mark. Poor Madders was beside himself. I can't even imagine how bad that hurt. 

Today Joe comes home and we areso  ready and so excited! Here's to a better week! 

Once we got home he realized dad was gone. Break your heart.

Washington missionaries and friends! Swig cookies

Our friend Amber came down from Washington yesterday and stayed with us. Amber got baptized when we lived up there. I was a ward missionary and got to work with the sister missionaries. It was a lot of fun. The sisters that taught her are living in Provo going to BYU. We went down and had dinner with them last night. It was so much fun. We really enjoyed talking to them. 

Afterwards we went and got a swig cookie. I had no idea they were even in Provo. I thought it was only on ST. George. We stopped and got us a cookie It was amazing! I am already craving another one. It was such a fun night! 

The skinny mom meals

I am in love with the skinny mom's website. It has been a life changer for me. So far all the meals I cook are all from the website. There is so much to choose from and it is all under 330 calories a serving. We are loving them. I am down 4.5lbs. Got 9 more to go. But I can't even tell you how much better I feel. I have been doing a healthy living challenge through Facebook. We are on weeks two and I am loving it. It is the first time I have ever stuck to a meal plan before. I am a much happier person. I am  almost two weeks of no dr. Pepper!! Crazy, I know..... Check out her website. You can get daily emails with workouts, you name it. I also follow her on Instagram. She post such great tips and quotes.

Best Daddy

I think that my boys are so lucky! They have such a great daddy! He loves them so much! I love to watch him with them. It is so fun to see Joe and the boys light up when they see each other. 

The other night he ate dinner with Jax on the kitchen floor. 

Then took them to the park to play and held Madders the whole time.We are always so HAPPY when dad gets home from work.

Brian Regan

Joe and I are huge fans of Brian Regan. We have wanted to see him perform for years now. Every time we tired to get tickets he was always sold out. Well.... Thankfully they got smart and had him go to the energy solutions arena. Tickets sold out so fast that they had him come another night. We bought tickets the second day they went on sale. 

We went last night with Joe's assistant manger Curtis and his wife Cassie. We bought their tickets as a thank you for all the hard work Curtis does for Joe. 

We went to dinner at wing nuts. It was good, but our food took forever to come, and the service was not that great.

Brian Regan was better than we thought. We laughed the whole time, especially at his facial expressions and the stuff we ha already heard was classic. It was so much fun. We did not want it to end. Until next time Brian... We for sure want to see him again.. The best part is that his is such a good clean comedian. Not cuss words, and nothing inappropriate. 

Madden at 6 months

Madden turned 6 months old on February 26th. It is so weird that he has been apart of our family for half a year already! 

He is such a funny baby! He is extremely sensitive.. His little tender heart breaks so easily. Mostly when his older brother Jaxon screams his name at him over and over because madden cries and screams his head off. He cries when he can't see me. He is also very stranger danger. 

Madden loves to eat solids and has done really well.  He sleeps through the night in our bed. Yep major no no!!! 

He rolls from his back go tummy, bit refuses to go from his tummy to his back, he screams instead. He can almost sit by himself. He discovered his toes and I love it. He loves to stick his little tongue out and smile. He has the bluest, most sparkley eyes I have ever seen. They glisten when he smiles. He loves to be held and snuggles. Mostly by mom. He loves his blanket and binky. Loves to swing on the swing, and loves to play on the exercauser. He loves to see his big brother and gets really excited. Until jax scares him then he is done. He loves the bath and loves to kick in the water. He hates getting dressed. Loves to play with toys, and grab at anything he can. He loves to put stuff in his mouth, especially his fists. 

Madden is drinking 6 ounces every three hours.

Madden's doc is thrilled with how well madden is doing and has done. He is right where he should be and is not behind at all for being 7 weeks early. We are reminded all the time at how lucky, and how blessed we are. We love Madders so much. He makes us so happy and makes our family more complete. I am sad at how fast time is going, but I also love to see him progress and grow. Jax and madden are playing a little bit together and I love seeing them light up when they are each other.
