Our Latest Reads

My two current reads.

Joe's read!

Joe and I have our noses stuck in these two books. I am dying to read the lost symbol. I hope Joe hurries up so I can read it. I can't complain about new moon though I sure am loving this one. I HATED twilight! I know, I can't believe that I am saying this but, it is true. I took me almost one year to read it! I am a little behind on reading these books. I am sure that you all have read them two times by now. I should have read it before all of the trailers came out for the movie. I think that really ruined it for me. For some strange reason I can't put this one down. I am going to finish the series, then go back and give twilight a second chance. I really liked the movie. Joe did as well. I am also currently reading on the side. US History for Dummies. I thought it would be a great idea to have a refresher of what happened in the US.
We decided that it would be a good idea to downgrade our cable so that we would read more often. We still have basic cable so we are still able to watch out favorite flicks. We both are really enjoying our new books.

Pray for Zach

This is my cousin Zach and his family. He lost the vision in his left eye 9 years ago when we was 15. Six weeks ago his right eye suddenly started to decline. He was in the hospital for three weeks to try and slow down the vision loss. They ran a million test, tried treatments, medications. And ended up having a serious infection. His vision has continually worsened. He can't not see the faces of those he loves. The doctors are still not sure what the cause is. Zach is only 24 years old, he is self employed and unable to work. Please keep Zach and his family in your prayers.

5K Race!

I ran a 5k this morning over at Sugar House Park for the American Heart Association. I have taken on running again and really enjoy it. It is very addicting. The course was awesome. A little up hill to mix things up. I improved my time by seven minutes... which I am pretty happy about. I am very grateful that my awesome work paid for us again. I would like to try a 10k next, and maybe even do a triathlon. I love doing these races.

The Twins Are Here!

Yeah! Ben and Cassie welcomed their beautiful twin girls on Sunday the 30th at 10:43 pm, weighing 4.6 ounces 17 inches long. Baby number two arrived at 10:49 weighing 5.1 ounces, 18 inches long.
Their names are Heidi and Meja pronounced (Mia or Mea)! Meja is on the right side of the picture. Heidi is on the left. Heidi has to stay at the hospital tell she gains some more weight. Meja and Cassie went home yesterday. We are so thrilled to have these two sweet baby girls in our family. We are so sad that they live in Kentucky and that we won't get to see them very often. I am such a proud aunt. Doesn't Cassie look amazing too? She had them NATURAL! She is my hero. Jeannette is on her way out to go and see them. We are so excited to meet them. Congrats Ben, Cassie and Koen.
